With the ALL-MC116VDSL2 modem, ALLNET introduces a dedicated VDSL2 single-port bridge that fulfills the basic requirements of a high-performance point-to-point connection using a two-wire connection – typically a telephone line – while offering all the advantages of a VDSL2 connection. The modem features both RJ11 jacks and terminal blocks for wired connections. The option to ground the device (using the ALL95100 surge protector) provides the necessary protection against lightning strikes in this application. Two Gigabit ports connect the modem to the network. The new ALL-MC116VDSL2 also includes an optional Gigabit SFP slot to expand communication capabilities with copper or fiber GBIC modules.
The ALL-MC116VDSL2 can be configured quickly and easily as either a master or slave modem using the DIP switch. Numerous LEDs on the front of the device provide visual indication of operating states and connections.
