High performance for smaller business locations with high data traffic: Equipped with fast Wi-Fi 6, this SD-WAN gateway reliably and simultaneously integrates mobile devices into the network on both the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands. For high-speed internet, it utilizes the performance of modern fiber optic connections via the integrated SFP port. Maximum flexibility regarding the internet connections available at the location is ensured by the Gigabit Ethernet WAN port. With excellent LANCOM IPSec VPN and SD-WAN, 5 (optionally 25) locations and mobile employees are securely networked.

The high-performance LANCOM 1800EFW VPN router allows direct connection to a fiber optic line (FTTH) via its SFP port using a separately available SFP module (GPON/AON). Highlight features such as High Scalability VPN (HSVPN) and Advanced Mesh VPN provide you with a significant increase in scalability and efficiency for numerous branch offices and applications. Furthermore, if multiple WAN connections are defined, they are automatically operated in Active/Active mode (load balancing), thereby increasing the total available bandwidth. Dynamic Path Selection and Dynamic Traffic Steering also ensure that applications are dynamically routed via the best available connection.

The LANCOM 1800EFW offers Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) and can provide fast Wi-Fi to both clients in the 2.4 GHz frequency band and modern devices in the 5 GHz band. Wi-Fi 6 technology enables transmission rates of up to 1,200 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and up to 575 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band simultaneously. Wireless clients are professionally integrated into the network – perfect for home offices and small businesses, as the router offers optimal Wi-Fi coverage without the need for additional hardware.

This SD-WAN gateway offers five integrated IPSec VPN channels for secure encryption, ensuring the protection of internal company data when connecting mobile employees, home offices, or branch offices. With the LANCOM VPN option, you can also upgrade the device to up to 25 VPN channels, allowing the infrastructure to easily grow as needed without additional hardware.

Advanced Routing & Forwarding
The LANCOM 1800EFW provides up to 16 securely isolated and independently routed IP contexts. This offers an elegant and practical way to manage all IP applications through a central router and securely separate the various communication channels.
