When high-throughput Wi-Fi 6 performance is required in challenging environments, the LANCOM LX-6212 with external antennas offers optimal WLAN coverage. For even greater flexibility, external ceiling-mounted, sector, or directional antennas can be connected. With simultaneous operation in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, this indoor access point provides reliable WLAN coverage for medium user densities, for example, in hotels, offices, medical practices, or branch offices. The integrated USB interface also provides the basis for integrating IoT wireless systems into existing WLAN infrastructures.
Dual Concurrent Wi-Fi 6 with aggregate data rate of up to 1,775 Mbps
The LANCOM LX-6212 offers Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) and can provide fast Wi-Fi to both clients in the 2.4 GHz frequency band and end devices in the 5 GHz band. Wi-Fi 6 technology enables transmission rates of up to 1,200 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and up to 575 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band simultaneously.
2x2 multi-user MIMO in downlink and uplink
Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO for short) enables the distribution of all available spatial streams from the LANCOM LX-6212 to multiple different clients simultaneously, instead of serving them sequentially. This allows for efficient use of available bandwidth and significantly reduces latency in the wireless network. With Wi-Fi 6, MU-MIMO can be used in both the downlink and uplink.
Maximum flexibility in antenna alignment
The option to connect external antennas offers several advantages: Signal direction and coverage can be individually adjusted, thus increasing transmission and reception performance. The four included omnidirectional antennas enable comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage, while optionally connected ceiling, sector, or directional antennas ensure a precisely tailored radiation angle.
Flexible power supply via PoE or power adapter
The LANCOM LX-6212 can be flexibly powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) according to IEEE 802.3at from any PoE-enabled Ethernet port. For optimal operation, a suitable PoE switch is ideally used. Alternatively, you can power the access point using the included power adapter.
