With Gigabit Powerline speeds of up to 1,200 Mbps and the latest 2x2 MIMO technology, it achieves significantly more robust connections, greater range, and higher data throughput. This device duo enables even the most demanding broadband applications in every corner of your house or apartment.

The FRITZ!Powerline 1220 set reliably and quickly connects network-enabled devices such as computers, televisions, and game consoles, even over long distances within your home network. Each adapter offers two ultra-fast Gigabit LAN ports. Networking via your existing electrical wiring easily overcomes long distances and obstacles like walls and ceilings. Compared to 500 Mbps and 200 Mbps Powerline adapters, the FRITZ!Powerline 1220 offers significantly higher transmission capacity and more robust connections – all while maintaining high energy efficiency. This allows for the simultaneous use of multiple demanding broadband applications.
High-performance 2x2 MIMO technology
The FRITZ!Powerline 1220 set is ideal for bandwidth-intensive network applications such as streaming HD videos (including 3D), high-speed internet access, online gaming, web TV, NAS connectivity, and video on demand. Even long distances between the adapters do not affect transmission quality. The 2x2 MIMO technology, by simultaneously using two wire pairs, enables up to 60% greater range within the power grid, with significantly more stable connections and gross transmission rates of up to 1,200 Mbps. If both wire pairs cannot be used simultaneously, automatic selection of the better-performing wire pair (diversity) ensures robust powerline transmission.

As soon as the adapters are plugged into their respective power outlets and connected to the FRITZ!Box and the devices to be networked via LAN cable, the powerline network is established with individual AES 128-bit encryption (plug and play). The FRITZ!Powerline 1220 set is compatible with current devices in the 1200, 500, and 200 Mbps classes. Updates are easily performed via the FRITZ!Powerline software or the FRITZ!Box user interface.
