UEFI BIOS

M.2 heatsink
An M.2 heatsink takes care of the two M.2 slots and prevents the throttling that can occur with M.2 SSDs during longer data transfers. The heat sink is secured with captive screws.

VRM heatsinks and thermal pads
VRM heatsinks and thermal pads improve heat transfer from the MOSFETs and coils for better cooling performance.

ProCool connections
Proprietary connectors supplement the motherboard“s connection to the power supply with 8-pin connectors that pass 12 volts directly to the processors. Each socket is equipped with solid contacts that can handle higher currents than sockets with hollow contacts.

PCIe 5.0 M.2 support

USB4® support
The PRIME B650-PLUS motherboard offers USB4® support via a Thunderbolt™ (USB4®) header. With an ASUS add-on card*, PRIME motherboards can enable bi-directional speeds of up to 40 Gbps over a single cable while also providing power for fast charging of devices. This card also features a daisy chain feature for connecting multiple displays and supports up to two displays with 4K resolution.

Aura Sync

ASUS Aura offers complete RGB lighting control with a variety of presets for the onboard RGB LEDs as well as for strips and devices connected to the onboard RGB headers - all with an ever-growing portfolio of Aura-enabled hardware be synchronized.

Addressable Gen 2 headers

BIOS FlashBack™
BIOS FlashBack™ is the easiest and safest (UEFI) BIOS update method. Simply place the (UEFI) BIOS file on a FAT32 formatted USB stick, insert it into the USB BIOS FlashBack™ port and press the button. Updates can even be performed without any memory or CPU installed.

SafeSlot Core+
SafeSlot Core+ is the ASUS-exclusive PCIe slot reinforced with a one-piece stainless steel brace that protects the slot from damage. The metal cover is securely secured into the slot with hooks and the entire assembly is firmly anchored to the board with reinforced soldering points to provide a secure foundation for heavyweight graphics cards.
