The Transcend DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy is a special edition of the DP230 dashcam developed specifically for the German market. It has been adapted to comply with local legislation and offers comprehensive data protection through modified loop recording functions and the omission of parking monitoring. The DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy is equipped with a light-sensitive Exmor image sensor, a GPS/GLONASS receiver, a convenient snapshot button, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Maximum data protection
Conventional dashcams often record videos in a loop until the memory card reaches its capacity. The loop function of the DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy has been modified so that only a maximum of three minutes of video footage is retained before the camera begins overwriting the oldest material. Only event-triggered recordings are protected from overwriting, either automatically via a G-sensor or manually by pressing the emergency recording button. Therefore, the DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy does not allow for continuous, indiscriminate surveillance, thus minimizing any infringement of privacy rights.

Outstanding Exmor image sensor
The DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy uses the Exmor™ sensor to capture high-resolution images with excellent and vibrant color quality, even in low light. Integrated Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology balances the bright and dark areas of the captured images, ensuring that every shot is as clear as possible.

GPS/GLONASS receiver
The GPS/GLONASS receiver of the DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy can log coordinates, date, and time in recorded video footage. In the event of an accident, coordinates can be precisely located, allowing emergency services, police, or insurance representatives to respond more quickly.

Practical snapshot function
The snapshot button allows you to take photos simultaneously with recording a video. In the event of an accident, for example, you can remove the DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy from the vehicle and create a more detailed photographic record of the damage, optionally using the video and photo functions at the same time.

Built-in battery
A built-in lithium-polymer battery ensures an uninterrupted power supply to the device. This means that videos continue to be recorded in the event of an accident or if the engine is switched off.

Emergency recording mode
In the event of a collision, the DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy“s motion G-sensor detects the impact and triggers emergency recording mode. This prevents the file recorded at that time from being overwritten. This function can also be activated manually, quickly and easily, by pressing the red button on the side of the device.

Wi-Fi connectivity
The DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy features Wi-Fi connectivity along with the exclusive DrivePro app, enabling real-time playback and downloading of footage. This means that access to video evidence can be easily shared for reporting purposes by law enforcement agencies and insurance companies without having to remove the memory card.

Lane Keeping Assist
The Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) helps prevent accidents by issuing a warning when a vehicle leaves its lane. The system monitors lane markings and displays an on-screen warning, while an audible warning sounds if the vehicle“s speed exceeds a preset value or if the vehicle deviates from its lane.

Collision warning system
The collision warning system alerts the driver if the vehicle speed exceeds a preset value and the vehicle is at risk of getting too close to the vehicle in front. The driver is then notified by the system via an audible warning and an on-screen alarm.

Headlight reminder
When the DrivePro detects poor lighting conditions, e.g. at dusk or in dark places such as tunnels or garages, the headlight reminder is automatically activated and reminds the driver to turn on the lights.

Rest break alert
To prevent tired drivers from being involved in an accident, the rest break alarm regularly reminds the driver to take driving breaks according to a preset, driver-determined time period.

Exclusive DrivePro Toolbox software
Transcend“s DrivePro Toolbox offers a classic playback function as well as a sorting function for quickly locating video clips by filename, recording date, or group. The DrivePro Toolbox also includes a screenshot function that allows capturing a single frame. On DrivePro models equipped with a GPS/GLONASS receiver, the Toolbox can also display the vehicle“s current position on a map along with the recorded video.
