Equipped with a SATA III 6Gb/s interface and featuring a very compact design, Transcend“s MTS400 M.2 SSD is ideally suited for small applications that have very limited space but still demand high performance. For this reason, it is perfectly suited for modern ultrabooks as well as slim and lightweight notebooks. Thanks to a powerful controller, a SATA III 6Gb/s interface, and above-average transfer speeds of up to 560MB/s for reading and 460MB/s for writing, the M.2 SSD can handle both everyday routine tasks and demanding multimedia applications.

Transcend“s SATA III 6Gb/s MTS400 M.2 SSD supports Intel® Smart Response Technology (ISRT), allowing the SSD to be used as a cache between the HDD and system memory. This provides the advantage of utilizing the maximum capacity of the HDD while maintaining the system performance of an SSD.
ISRT monitors the most frequently used programs and documents and stores them on the SSD. This speeds up application loading and significantly improves system responsiveness, while all other data and programs remain on the HDD. In this configuration, only one drive letter is displayed. The SSD, which acts as a cache, does not have its own drive letter.
