The Overland-Tandberg RDX QuikStor media offers a special, shock-protected design to guarantee you maximum data protection and safe handling. You can simply copy your data to the RDX medium using “drag and drop”. You can also integrate the RDX QuikStor into your backup environment.

Mobile and versatile

RDX drives are available as internal and external variants. The RDX USB3+ external drive only requires a USB3.0 connection to operate. This means you can use RDX just as easily as external USB hard drives. However, RDX is much more robust and reliable. RDX USB3+ is best suited for mobile use, such as collecting scientific data, in the media and entertainment industry, for field staff or simply for distributing data to different locations.

Capacity expansion and media rotation

Cross-media backup allows you to expand backup capacity beyond RDX media. All you need is backup software that supports this feature. For a full disaster recovery strategy, it is recommended to implement media rotation with at least three RDX media: one media in the drive for the next backup, a second media on the way to/from the office, and a third media in a secure, remote location.

19“ rack integration with RDX QuadPAK

The Overland-Tandberg QuadPAK Rackmount Kit offers RDX users a simple and cost-effective solution to mount their drives in a 19“ rack. The RDX QuadPAK allows you to integrate up to 4 external RDX USB drives and significantly simplifies backup and restore operations .

Encryption

Software encryption is supported by all RDX drives. The new SATA III drives are prepared for hardware encryption.

Additional security

The RDX WORM (Write One Read Many) media enable legally compliant archiving. Data cannot be deleted or overwritten.

Fixed Disk Mode for Windows backup

Windows backup of current desktop and server operating systems no longer supports removable media. This means that external software must be used or operating system upgrades must be avoided. The RDX QuikStor“s fixed disk mode allows you to seamlessly integrate into Windows backup.
