The increased data rates of Wi-Fi 6 necessitate 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, as the required performance exceeds that of a standard Gigabit Ethernet port. This switch, combined with its PoE capabilities, enables the operation of up to four Wi-Fi 6 access points or other network components with high performance requirements – without the need for additional electrical installations.

Central power supply without additional cabling
As a high-performance PoE switch, the LANCOM GS-3510XP supplies connected PoE devices without the need for additional power supplies or cabling. It supports both Power over Ethernet standards, IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at (PoE+). Thanks to its high power reserves and a PoE budget of 130 watts, it is ideal for efficiently powering PoE devices while maintaining a quiet design with cooling capability even at ambient temperatures above 40°C.

Static routing for unloaded networks
The LANCOM GS-3510XP supports the fundamental Layer 3 function of static routing, thus offloading certain routing tasks from the router to the switch. Predefining network routes across one or more network segments enables faster data exchange, especially with high internal data traffic, and reduces the load on the router. The freed-up router capacity is then available to handle external data traffic, thereby increasing the overall network efficiency.

DHCP server functionality
As a DHCP server, the switch is able to independently and automatically assign IP addresses to clients. The LANCOM GS-3510XP supports this basic Layer 3 function and thus manages the IP address of the connected network.

Configurable access control
The LANCOM GS-3510XP ensures that no unauthorized clients gain access to the network. This is made possible by secure access control on all ports according to IEEE 802.1X (port-based, single-, multi- and MAC-based).

Secure remote management
Thanks to secure communication protocols such as SSH, SSL, and SNMPv3, the LANCOM GS-3510XP enables professional remote network management. Furthermore, the switch supports the TACACS+ protocol for authentication, authorization, and accounting – an optimal solution that promises maximum security, especially when managing and monitoring networks across multiple locations.

SD-LAN – turning days into minutes
The LANCOM GS-3510XP, with its LANCOM Management Cloud, offers fast and easy network integration and automatic configuration assignment – eliminating the need for manual configuration. This makes even complex networking scenarios easy to administer. SD-LAN replaces individual device configuration with holistic network orchestration. Additionally, automatic VLAN assignment to the desired switch ports is enabled. Configurations can be coordinated across locations, taking the network architecture into account, and simultaneously deployed or updated with a single mouse click.

IPv6 and IPv4 support
Thanks to its dual-stack implementation, the LANCOM GS-3510XP can be used in pure IPv4, pure IPv6, or mixed networks. Numerous applications such as SSL, SSH, Telnet, and TFTP can therefore also be run over IPv6 networks. IPv6 features such as stateless autoconfiguration, neighbor detection, and MLD snooping complete the IPv6 features.
