Sure: the call protection that can do more.

Much more than a conventional blacklist: With the Gigaset E720, you can specify that the display lights up green for known callers – making trusted contacts instantly recognizable. Simply enter these contacts in the internal phonebook and activate the “trusted caller“ feature in the menu. Or, you can opt for even stricter call protection and only allow known callers to get through (whitelist). A special feature of the Gigaset E720 family is the direct emergency call forwarding: You can define up to 15 contacts who will be automatically forwarded to you when they call (protected by a PIN). You can then speak to these callers via the handset“s speakerphone without having to answer the call yourself.

Intelligent: the Bluetooth hearing aid connection.

Enjoy greater freedom when making phone calls: With this phone, you can answer calls directly on your hearing aid. Thanks to Bluetooth 4.2, Gigaset E720 handsets allow for the convenient integration of modern hearing aids. This makes phone calls even more enjoyable and practical: You have your hands free and enjoy crystal-clear voice transmission. For the microphone function to work, the handset should be nearby. The Gigaset E720 is compatible with hearing aids from Phonak, Unitron, and possibly other manufacturers whose devices support Bluetooth 4.2 with the HSP and HFP protocols.

A handy feature: the extra loud button.

In some situations, you can never have it loud enough. You have a choice of five volume levels for the earpiece. If that“s not enough, simply double the volume with the side-mounted extra-loud button – but only for the current call, so that the next person using the phone isn“t startled. As with many Gigaset phones, the Gigaset E720 also lets you select two sound profiles to emphasize high or low frequencies, tailoring it to your individual hearing needs.

Great: the display magnifying function.

The Gigaset E720 senior phone features a large, high-contrast color display with a magnification function for screen text. For example, the name currently selected from the address book is automatically enlarged and highlighted in orange. If the name is wider than the display in the enlarged view, it appears as a scrolling text bar. In dialing mode, the entered digits are also displayed extra large against this colored background. And what about in difficult lighting conditions? Thanks to the backlight, everything is perfectly legible.

Reassuring: the SOS function.

You can save particularly important phone numbers to the four speed dial buttons and dial them with just one press. Speed dial button A also serves as a special emergency call button and can be programmed with an SOS function. You can save up to four SOS numbers to this button simultaneously, for example, those of relatives or neighbors.
And this is how the emergency call function works:
- After activating the SOS function (direct dial button A), all four stored numbers are called one after the other. This is repeated up to three times in succession – until someone answers.
- When the call is answered, the person being called will hear an emergency call text – either a standard text or a message recorded by you.
- If the person being called then presses the 5 key, they can speak to you personally.

Convenient: the number and name announcement.

With the Gigaset E720, you always have full control and can have the pressed number keys read aloud for confirmation when dialing. The number is also announced for incoming calls if the caller is saved in your phonebook. Or even more conveniently: the caller“s name is announced. Simply assign a voice recording of the name to the phonebook entry to achieve this.

Practical: The Gigaset E720A with answering machine.

Even if you miss a call, the Gigaset E720A large-button phone ensures your message gets through. It features an integrated digital answering machine with up to 30 minutes of recording time. You can conveniently listen to your messages not only via the base station, but also via the handset or securely remotely from anywhere. Another plus: you have up to 170 seconds to record your personalized greeting. And if there“s a power outage at home, your recordings remain safe.

The Gigaset E720 series, like all Gigaset cordless phones, is equipped with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology. This means the phones are radiation-free in standby mode, even when multiple handsets are in use, provided the base station and all registered handsets also support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission power automatically adjusts to the distance between the base station and the handset. The closer the handset is to the base station, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, the ECO DECT mode can be deactivated at any time.
