The Access Control List defines which users are authorized to access which services and files, and authenticates these users using the IEEE 802.1X standard. Additional security is provided by features such as DHCP Server Screening – the switch uses the client“s DHCP request and the server“s response to identify the server“s IP address and automatically assigns it to the corresponding MAC address for the port.
