In a Wi-Fi Mesh network, distributed Wi-Fi nodes (e.g., the FRITZ!Box and multiple FRITZ!Repeaters) are combined into a single, intelligent Wi-Fi network. The FRITZ!Box 6690 Cable acts as the central hub (Mesh Master) and actively manages all other access points, ensuring that Wi-Fi devices used in your home network are always connected to the access point with the strongest connection. Mobile Wi-Fi devices seamlessly switch between access points automatically, without interrupting any running applications.

Versatile smart home and convenient telephony
The integrated DECT base station controls smart home devices such as the FRITZ!DECT 301 radiator thermostat, the FRITZ!DECT 200/210 smart plugs, the FRITZ!DECT 440 push button, and the FRITZ!DECT 500 LED lamp. The integrated telephone system allows you to register two analog phones and up to six DECT cordless phones (e.g., FRITZ!Fon). Smartphones can also be used as fully functional VoIP phones via Wi-Fi.
