Manage your Smart-UPS
Thanks to the integrated network card, you can easily connect the APC UPS to your network. This allows you to monitor and manage the UPS remotely (SNMP), and the UPS can send a shutdown signal to multiple physical and/or virtual servers using the PowerChute Network Shutdown software.
PowerChute network shutdown
PowerChute Network Shutdown is UPS management software that works with the UPS network management card to protect Windows, Linux, and host ESXi systems, as well as hyperconverged and virtual infrastructure*. In the event of a power outage, PowerChute can properly shut down your virtual machines, and the pre-configured startup sequence ensures they are powered back on.

The internal battery cartridge (APCRBC140) can be easily, safely, and independently replaced by the user. This can be done without having to turn off the APC SRT5KRMXLI or connected devices. In this way, you can easily and cost-effectively extend the lifespan of your APC Smart-UPS and keep your devices connected at all times.
Warranty extension
The manufacturer“s warranty for the SRT5KRMXLI is 3 years, except for the battery, which has a 2-year manufacturer“s warranty. Both can be extended by 3 years to 6 and 5 years respectively with the APC Service Pack (WBEXTWAR3YR-SP-05).
Maximize availability
Or, instead of a warranty extension, choose the even more comprehensive 5-year monitoring and shipping service (WMD5YOSNBD-SP-05) to maximize the availability of your APC UPS. In addition to a 5-year warranty, it also includes 24/7 remote monitoring via the Schneider Electric Connected Services Hub and on-site repair service from SE (parts, labor, installation, and travel costs).
Switched socket groups: Remote restart and gradual start
Thanks to Switched Outlet Groups, it is possible to configure phased/delayed power-on for each UPS output group. This reduces the peak load on the UPS and brings it closer to the constant load, thus limiting UPS oversizing.
It is also possible to reset a group of multiple UPS outputs and the devices connected to them. When using a network card (ap9640) in combination with Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI), this is even possible remotely.
You cannot eliminate critical loads; so extend the runtime for critical devices.
