The APC Smart-UPS On-Line automatically provides emergency power without the need for switching. This prevents unwanted failure of, for example, PCs, servers, storage devices, or switches. With APC PowerChute Network Shutdown software, you can even automatically and controllably shut down critical IT hardware when the UPS battery is nearly depleted. This prevents data loss, downtime, and physical damage to the hardware.
Extend the term
The number of minutes that the APC SRT2200RMMLI-NC can provide stand-alone emergency power can easily be increased by connecting external battery packs (SRT72RMBP). Runtime of several hours is even possible.

The Smart-UPS On-Line features an internal bypass and uses double conversion, maximizing the availability and lifespan of connected hardware. It also makes the UPS compatible with a backup generator. PowerChute Network Shutdown is UPS management software that works with the UPS Network Management Card to protect Windows, Linux, and Host ESXi, as well as hyperconverged and virtual infrastructures*. In the event of a power outage, PowerChute can properly shut down your virtual machines, and the pre-configured boot sequence ensures they are powered back on.

Extending lifespan
The internal battery cartridge (APCRBC141) can be easily, safely, and independently replaced by the user. This can be done without having to turn off the APC SRT2200RMMLI-NC or connected devices. This allows you to extend the lifespan of your APC Smart-UPS easily and cost-effectively, and your devices will always remain online.
Warranty extension
The SRT2200RMMLI-NC comes with a 3-year factory warranty, except for the battery cartridge, which has a 2-year factory warranty. Both can be extended by 3 years to 6 and 5 years respectively with the APC Service Pack (WBEXTWAR3YR-SP-04).
Switched Outlet Groups: Remote restart and phased start
Thanks to Switched Outlet Groups, it is possible to configure phased/delayed power-on for each UPS outlet group. This reduces the peak load on the UPS and brings it closer to the continuous load, thus limiting the need for UPS oversizing.
It is also possible to reset a group of multiple UPS outlets and the devices connected to them. If a network card (ap9640) is used in combination with Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI), this can even be done remotely.
You also cannot shut down non-critical loads; this increases the runtime for critical equipment.
