Thanks to its dual-conversion technology, an APC Smart-UPS On-Line consistently provides all connected devices with perfectly clean power. Even power outages have no impact. The APC Smart-UPS On-Line automatically provides emergency power without the need for switching. This prevents unwanted failures of devices such as PCs, servers, storage systems, or switches. With APC PowerChute Network Shutdown software, you can even automatically and controllably shut down critical IT hardware when the UPS battery is nearly depleted. This prevents data loss, downtime, and physical damage to the hardware.

Manage your Smart-UPS
Thanks to the pre-installed APC network management card (AP9641), you can easily connect the APC UPS to your network. This allows you to remotely monitor and manage the UPS (SNMP), and the UPS can send a shutdown signal to multiple physical and/or virtual servers using the PowerChute Network Shutdown software.
PowerChute network shutdown
PowerChute Network Shutdown is UPS management software that works with the UPS network management card to protect Windows, Linux, and host ESXi systems, as well as hyperconverged and virtual infrastructure*. In the event of a power outage, PowerChute can properly shut down your virtual machines, and the pre-configured startup sequence ensures they are powered back on.
*An additional license is required for HCI and virtual machine support:

Extend the lifespan
The internal battery cartridge (APCRBC155) can be easily, safely, and independently replaced by the user. This can be done without having to turn off the APC SRT1500RMMLI-NC or connected devices. This allows you to extend the lifespan of your APC Smart-UPS easily and cost-effectively, ensuring your devices remain online at all times.
Warranty extension
The manufacturer“s warranty for the SRT1500RMMLI-NC is 3 years, except for the battery, which has a 2-year manufacturer“s warranty. Both can be extended by 3 years to 6 and 5 years respectively with the APC Service Pack (WBEXTWAR3YR-SP-02).
Switched socket groups: Remote restart and gradual start
Thanks to Switched Outlet Groups, it is possible to configure phased/delayed power-on for each UPS output group. This reduces the peak load on the UPS and brings it closer to the constant load, thus limiting UPS oversizing.
It is also possible to reset a group of multiple UPS outputs and the devices connected to them. When using a network card (ap9640) in combination with Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI), this is even possible remotely.
You also cannot eliminate critical loads; this will only extend the runtime of critical equipment.
