Comprehensive fan control
TUF GAMING Z690 motherboards feature comprehensive fan control that can be configured via the Fan Xpert 4 utility or the award-winning ASUS UEFI BIOS.

Each header can be set to monitor and respond to three user-configurable temperature sensors to provide load-dependent cooling. All settings can be easily managed with Fan Xpert 4 or via UEFI.​

An integrated AIO system allows full control of PWM or DC water pumps, making it perfect for custom or maintenance-free cooling systems.

All onboard fan connectors support automatic detection of PWM or DC fans.

A special integrated circuit protects each fan connector from excessive heat and electrical currents.

The TUF GAMING Z690 Series offers Thunderbolt™ 4 support via an on-board header. With an Intel-certified ASUS ThunderboltEX 4 add-in card*, the TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS D4 can also enable bi-directional speeds of up to 40Gbps over a single cable. This card also has a daisy chain function for connecting multiple displays and supports displays with a resolution of up to 8K. It can also deliver up to 100 watts of power for fast charging of devices.

SafeSlot & SafeDIMM
PCIe 5.0 is 2x faster than PCIe 4.0. That“s why we adapted our SMT manufacturing process for the faster SafeSlot to ensure the highest data speeds. SafeSlot is a reinforced metal shroud that is added to a PCIe slot to securely attach a card. The robust ASUS SafeDIMM shrouds support and protect memory modules on select ASUS motherboards, allowing you to deploy your modules quickly, precisely and safely.

ESD protection devices
ESD protection devices extend the life of components and prevent damage caused by electrostatic discharge. DRAM overvoltage protection
