REVOLUTION DF X rounds off the REVOLUTIONs series and is aimed primarily at gamers and content creators. In addition to a native 12VHPWR cable for the mandatory Intel ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 standard, it offers another dual 8-pin to 12VHPWR additional cable for connecting another graphics card or for future OC graphics cards that require two 12VHPWR connections. The connections already have the “4-spring design” recommended by Intel®.

Like the REVOLUTION DF 2, the REVOLUTION DF X is also a compact, fully modular powerhouse with a depth of just 14 cm. The 80 PLUS® Gold certified power supply series is equipped with patented DFR™ (Dust Free Rotation) technology. This prevents dust from accumulating on the fan blades and guarantees a clean and long-lasting power supply.

The decision to use only 100% Japanese 105°C electrolytic capacitors guarantees high manufacturing quality and a long-lasting product. Based on an advanced Half Bridge LLC resonant converter and DC-to-DC circuit, the power supply is able to deliver perfect voltage regulation and very stable output power. The extremely stable single +12V rail, which has up to twice the maximum output power for a short time, allows high current peaks from high-performance processors and graphics cards without having to switch off the system directly. Sufficient protection is still guaranteed by OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP and OTP.

The intelligent semi-fanless control keeps the power supply fan in passive mode up to 20% load. The FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) silent fan is equipped with a 6-pole 3-phase motor and high-pressure fan blades to generate extremely high air pressure while ensuring excellent smoothness. In addition, anti-vibration dampers on the fan frame reduce fan vibration.

The ARGB side panel with 14 built-in RGB lighting modes can be operated “stand-alone”, controlled via the supported motherboard sync or switched off using the ON/OFF button.

Outstanding performance
The DC-to-DC design generates the secondary voltages (+5V and +3.3V) from the primary voltage rail (+12V). The positive effect is higher efficiency, clean output voltages (extremely low ripple noise) and optimal voltage regulation at all loads.

The high-efficiency LLC resonant converter ensures higher output efficiency and voltage stability. The extremely stable single +12V rail, which has up to 2 times the maximum output power for a short period of time (100 microseconds), allows high current peaks from high-performance processors and graphics cards without the system having to be switched off directly. Sufficient protection is ensured by OCP, OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP and OTP.

Next level cooling solution

DFR™ technology
The patented DFR™ (Dust Free Rotation) technology reduces dust accumulation on the fan blades by rotating the fan backwards at high speed for a few seconds after starting the power supply. This prevents long-term dust buildup. It then returns to normal passive operation.

ENERMAX high-pressure fan blades
